JSI's FOUNDING & PROGRESS
Since JSI was established in 2020, its founders, and over 100 global thought- leaders, have
contributed thousands of hours planning a sound Action Roadmap to achieve JSI's Mission and
the goals of countless stakeholders.
The hours invested have been focused on outlining:
• How should effective, community-specific, Justice & Mental Health Systems function and
evolve?
• What will be the source of funding for ongoing global research, detailed and ongoing system and policy design, staffing, technology, and talent acquisition and professional development
• How should JSI be organized, staffed, and funded to be an effective partner with the elected and appointed professionals responsible for managing and operating exemplary
Justice & Mental Health Systems?
• How, based on decades of lessons learned implementing systemic change impacting
thousands of stakeholders, should strengthened Justice & Mental Health Systems be
implemented and sustained?
