Strategic Partnership for Connecticut
Leveraging Six Decades of Police Experience
Since 1970 McCreight Partners and JSI’s (Justice Systems Institute) consulting
colleagues have been proud to partner with police, National Security, elected, appointed,
corporate and community leaders when they were struggling to implement and sustain
sound strategic change strengthening justice and mental health systems.
Most of our partnering engagements have been confidential. But, we are proud
to share the lessons learned during at least the following engagements that

JSI Launch
Our first police strategy implementation
engagement began in the early 1970s with
a four-year initiative in Detroit, partnering
with the mayor's office and public safety
leaders.
Lessons Learned : We understood Detroit's many challenges and used that experience in subsequent engagements with local and
national, elected and appointed leaders.
We partnered with police and justice
system leaders to strengthen outcomes
involving:
• Homicides & sexual violence
• Gang violence
• Mental health incidents
• Community disturbances
• Police wellness
• Information sciences
• Organization culture & effectiveness
• 24/7 Operations
"Our 20-member team of strategy
implementation experts was
on-call 24/7 to analyze incidents,
understand priorities, and guide
sustainable and evidence-based
strategy implementation."
